“Our 2 1/2 year old settled in really well and extremely quickly. There were no tears, just a spot of shyness in the first week as she got to know the environment and staff. She didn’t want to leave when we did our initial walk round, so we had a good feeling about The WonderWorks from the start. We’re now six weeks in and our toddler comes bounding out of nursery every evening, really happy and excited to tell us about her day and what she’s been up to.

Since starting she’s made some great friends with other children and staff. The staff as a team have been very warm, friendly, informative and approachable. They always ask about your child’s sleep and general well-being, so they can offer the best support to them throughout that day. We are kept up to date via an app throughout the day, which allows us to see what meals she’s having and enjoy some photos from the day/ week.

We were delighted to hear that The WonderWorks was opening, studios have been crying out for this kind of support for families for years. A nursery that works out-with term times with flexible hours is exactly what was needed.

As a Mum in the film industry, finding flexible and reliable childcare can be tough. The staff are understanding of freelancers moving schedules and will do their utmost to accommodate...while at the same time giving your child the best. The communication throughout the day is of great comfort; to know your child is settling in OK, what they’ve eaten and what they’ve been up to is such a wonderful bonus!”

“My partner and I both work full time at Leavesden Studios and were struggling to find a local nursery where we felt comfortable leaving our 15 month old. I had even considered leaving my job to look after him full time. However, the first time we saw the WonderWorks we were blown away. We loved that they provide such a varied, exciting and engaging learning and play opportunities. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are designed beautifully, with upcycled furniture and repurposed materials from the studios, it really is unique! The wonderful staff are kind, caring and enthusiastic. They greet us at the door at drop off with a friendly smile and the photos and updates provided by his keyworker throughout the day are a lovely bonus…We always look forward to seeing what activities our little one is up to. We have even incorporated some of the activities he has enjoyed whilst at nursery into play time at home. We are so happy with the decision to send our son here and would highly recommend to any other parents in the film industry!”

“The settling in session worked perfectly for Toby and from his first visit he couldn’t wait to get to there.

Being able to drop Toby at WonderWorks in the morning and know he was close by, and so well looked after was the ultimate relief for a working parent.

The team were wonderful – they were all so calm, so experienced and un-ruffled by everything! And they got to know Toby so quickly – his love of dinosaurs was fully explored and he came home every day full of excitement and conversation about what hed’ done and learnt. He even had a ‘I’ve been to Wonderworks dance’ that he would do on the way home!

Parent Zone was also a great portal for keeping up with their progress – and also the team gave a really detailed run down on collection of how Toby’s day had been, so I felt he’d been really valued all day.

I would HIGHLY recommend The Wonderworks to any parent – it’s such a relief to be able to hand your child over and not have any worries about their happiness or welfare – in fact the opposite – to know they are going to be engaged, their minds expanded, be well fed, listened to and looked after – it’s just great.”
